Halloween was totally fun for the kids. It was a beautiful warm evening (much different than Halloweens in Michigan). They all went out without Rob or I for the first time this year. The girls went with a big group of friends and little sisters. Bradley went with his friend, Nick and another friend of Nick's, sooooo Rob and I just hung out at home and handed out candy. A little different. I did not make my eyeball soup and bat sandwiches this year though, due to the fact that I could not find the small mozzarella balls at any of the fine grocery stores here in El Paso (not a lot of Italian here). But we still had a good time. Hope all of you had a great Halloween this year and enjoyed seeing all the ghosts and goblins out and about.

Times and Seasons

This is the first of hopefully many entries to keep you all posted on the comings and goings of our household. We live in El Paso, Texas. We have a household of seven. First of all there is me, Deanna. I am absolutely the queen of my castle and my family enjoys the benefits of that. I am a hairstylist by trade. My interests include, reading, sports, traveling, nutrition and playing games. I volunteer at the Kids schools (four different ones this year). We are also involved with the various booster clubs for the kids' activities. My biggest interests though are my handsome man and cutie kids. Speaking of handsome husbands, my husband Rob is an engineer with an MBA. Crazy combination but it works for him. He can fix just about anything that is fixable and manages to tear apart and find the problem with anything that isn't. He loves to read as well and has recently picked up photography as a hobby. He is a devoted Ohio State fan (as we all are) and is the best dad I could have ever picked for my kids. Danielle (aka: Dani) is our 15 (soon to be 16) year old. She is a sophomore in high school. She plays the flute, runs cross country, and excels in her studies at school. She loves horses and the color green. She is not sure what she wants to be when she grows up but she knows that she does not want to sit at a desk. Abigail (aka: Abbi) is 14 and a freshman in high school. Abbi is a soccer fanatic, milk monkey, and loves the color blue. She is also in the band and plays the trumpet. She is very studious and has aspirations of being a nurse anesthetist when she grows up. Bradley (aka: Brad) plays flag football and is a 1st class scout. His favorite color is red and he loves food. We don't know where it goes but he eats a lot of it. He is in sixth grade and also plays the trumpet in band. Bradley wants to be a doctor or a banker when he grows up. Then there is Megan (aka: Megi, Nutmeg, or Megi Sue) She is the spice of the family. She is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. She plays the violin, volleyball, and loves hanging out with everyone else. Her favorite color is pink but she likes purple and green too. Then to round out the tail end is our cat C.J. who is the most social cat that anyone has ever seen. He is five years old and just loves to be where the people are. He is not much of a lap cat but definitely wants to be acknowledged. He loves to ride in the car and is always at the door when we come home. He also loves to lick plastic bags when we get home from the grocery (no one knows why). But he has been a great pet for our family. Oh yeah I almost forgot we do have a blue and purple Beta fish named Gilly. So I guess that makes us eight not seven. Okay that is it for now. There will be more to come later.
